About the Course
Designed by wildland firefighters in conjunction with technical rescue, and SAR experts drawing on experience from the BC Forest Fires, our custom Rapid Extraction Module meets and exceeds the requirements of FIRESCOPE ICS-223. During this intensive, 3 day, 36 hour training workshop, participants will be taught:
- ICS-223 definitions and taskings
- REMS Specific equipment and team caches loadouts
- Complex terrain movement and navigation
- Patient packaging and movement through complex terrain
- Small diameter and lightweight systems in rescue
